WILLIAMSTOWN CANNONS BASKETBALL CLUBCANNONS HISTORY
Williamstown Gunners Basketball Club was started in 1991 by Glenn Wright with Genevieve Pritchard (who became the first President). The club operated from the Altona North Tech Assembly Hall on Millers Road. Games were played at Altona North Tech, Altona North High, Williamstown Tech and Altona Green Primary School. Today Williamstown Cannons are the largest basketball club in the west with over 400 families. We have a proud history of success and we honour those members who contributed to our legacy of success.

We've operated within the City Basketball Club and therefore all players had the opportunity to progress through a seamless pathway from basketball lessons to Olympian. We also had squads for those who choose to continue basketball for enjoyment.
NEW MEMBERS
With the help of this grant funding, the Oxygen Club continued to fast grow with the number of all age players and coaches.
HALL LOCATION
Above all Oxygen Club operated in a friendly fun filled environment where the focus was solely on all members.
JUNIOR TEAM
From the start, Club’s members act in accordance with the special FIBA Code Comprehensive of Conduct and Ethics.
CHAMPIONS
The basketball programme consists of one 30 min. session per week and all children are grouped on best ability.
