Summer 25/26 season begins School Term 4 2025
The age groups for the Summer 25/26 season are as follows:
U8 – Born 2019 / 2020
U10 – Born 2017 / 2018
U12 – Born 2015 / 2016
U14 – Born 2013 / 2014
U16 – Born 2011 / 2012
U18 – Born 2009 / 2010
U19 Girls – Born 2008 / 2009 / 2010
Note: Age groups are determined on the player’s age as of December 31st of the year in which the season ends.
For instance, a athlete cannot participate in the Under 12 category if they turn 12 at any point during the competition year.

Summer Season 25/26
Cannons play competitions in Altona Bay and Westgate Basketball Associations.
If you are an existing Cannons athlete and would like to continue playing in Summer 25/26 season, please speak with your Coach or Team Manager. Additional support is available from Sam Kisvarda (Team & Competition Coordinator).
If you are a New or Returning to Cannons athlete and would like to join Willy Cannons, please complete an Expression of Interest via the link below. Spots are offered on a best efforts basis via the WCBC Players & Coaches Subcommittee.
Previous waitlists are not carried over. Existing Cannons athletes do not need to complete a EOI to play Summer 25/26 season.
